I've been to Metropolis for Bad Ass Weekend for the last 3 years. While it may be a tad dated, improvements have made it a great venue. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is great. Highly recommend.
If you find yourself in Augusta, GA, be sure to experience the Metropolitan Complex! My recent visit from February 3rd to 6th was truly outstanding. From the incredibly welcoming front office staff to the fantastic teams at the bar and nightclub, every interaction was a pleasure. And don't miss the Cafe – the food was absolutely excellent, served by the most wonderful staff. The Metropolitan Complex is genuinely a must-stop destination in the area. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and extend my sincere thanks for a truly great time. Thanks to GGB for the recommendation.
Nice staff and fun activities. The property is well kept and maintained. This was my first time visiting there and it presented better than i had invisioned.
While the exterior may not be impressive, my room was spotless. I'm one of those people who travel with a blacklight to inspect my room on arrival, and I was actually impressed with how clean the bed linens, mattress, and other soft surfaces were kept. Aside from a couple of maintenance needs - the bolt lock on the door was broken (photo) and the sink drain needed repair - the room was in good condition. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, which further impressed me, given the event theme I was attending. I had expected a bit of trepidation but clearly they are acclimated to 'diverse' clientele. Even though I locked myself out of my room (a few times... damned edibles), the concierge was always accommodating, providing a replacement card after confirming my info. I'm looking forward to my next visit in April!
Visited here Monday April 28th just for a getaway with partner from Chester SC. Only a few guests at hotel but very chill and relaxing, met a great buddy there. The RV walks, good exercise & eye candy. Hot tub, Pool & Maze. Cody the bartender was so nice and helped me on fruity drinks, Only dislike was those mosquitoes are back out. Will be back again soon!
First time staying this weekend. Everything was good, the room was clean, and well kept. Front desk & employees were friendly and welcoming. Small things to improve: Add a chair in the room & the water in the shower was lukewarm at its hottest. Supporting local gay business are important and it’s a good weekend stay. I can easily see this place would be PACKED during the summer.
Great drinks and atmosphere, friendly staff and a pool so bring some swim trunks. They have appetizers. Most days they have trivia and such.
This resort hosts great events and the staff are caring and helpful. My plans for a recent stay had to change at the last minute and the staff were extremely accommodating and worked with me to make my shortened trip still happen.
